Texas House Select Committee holds hearing at Brookhaven

Laramie Stroud, second from left, chief of staff for Texas House representative Drew Darby, discusses social media companies’ role in society during a committee discussion about mass violence prevention and community safety Oct. 10 in Brookhaven College’s Performance Hall. The committee heard from several panels and examined social media, gun laws, law enforcement collaborations with digital media, cyber security and mental health as it pertains to preventing mass violence.
