The Brookhaven Country Club Dallas has been a staple in the Farmers Branch community since 1957.

The country club, which is located two miles from Brookhaven College, was founded by Robert Dedmon Sr. and is still owned by his company, ClubCorp. The Dallas-based company is the largest owner and operator of private clubs nationwide, according to its website.

One of the country club’s golf courses was the first by golf legend Byron Nelson, who designed it with Press Maxwell, a founding member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects.

ClubCorp now owns and operates over 200 golf and country clubs, business clubs, sports clubs and alumni clubs worldwide.

The Brookhaven Country Club Dallas includes 54 golf holes, a fitness center, multiple pools and 40 tennis courts. In 2019, Avid Golfer, a golf lifestyle magazine, called the country club one of the best in Dallas.
