5 DFW events to check out this Holiday Season

The holiday season is officially here. If you are searching for holiday themed activities or something fun to do, we have five must-see events in DFW this holiday season.

Vitruvian Lights

Through Jan. 1

3966 Vitruvian Way 

Vitruvian Park in Addison will host the annual Vitruvian Lights celebration this holiday season. The park will be transformed by wrapping more than 550 trees with 1.5 million multicolored LED lights. The lights will remain on every evening through Jan. 1. Tree lights will be on daily from 5:00 to 11 p.m. After canceling special events last year due to COVID-19 concerns, it is set to return with events throughout December. Visitors can find parking onsite at Vitruvian Park as well as Bella Lane Parking Lot, Park Road Parking Lot and Ponte Avenue Parking Lot.

Snowday

Through Jan. 17th

The creatives at Bayer Brothers Sets and Motus have teamed up to present Snowday – Season 3, an immersive holiday pop-up experience located at Galleria Dallas. The pop-up experience takes guests through over 20 holiday-themed rooms. Visitors will have the chance to pose for unique photo opportunities from special cameras and lighting located throughout the experience. 

Price: $27 for people ages 13-64 and $12 for children 4-12

 

Dallas Zoo Lights 

Through Jan. 2

650 S R L Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX

Looking for something festive but with some physical distance? Dallas Zoo has you covered with their holiday light show presented by Reliant. Attendees can drive through the mile-long route where they can see holiday-themed displays, animal lanterns, 3D lighted sculptures and over a million twinkling lights. This year a new immersive video projection map will transform select areas of the path. The path ends at the Reliant Holiday Village where attendees can take photos with Santa or a 30-foot lighted Christmas tree.

Price: $65 per vehicle. 

 

The FRIENDS Experience: The One in Dallas 

Through Jan. 17

6121 W Park Blvd, Plano, TX 

Fans of the 90s sitcom, “Friends” will be delighted to attend The FRIENDS Experience: The One In Dallas, an interactive pop-up attraction featuring 12 set replicas from the iconic television series. During the experience fans can cozy up on a replica of the show’s iconic orange couch at Central Perk, hangout in Joey and Chandler’s apartment, and pose in Monica and Rachel’s kitchen. 

Price: $32.50 off peak and $39.50 during busier hours. 

 

Enchant Christmas 

Through Jan. 2

If you are looking for something interactive and festive, check out Enchant Christmas light maze “The Great Search.” Guests will go on the Ice Skating Trail before sampling holiday treats from around the world and visiting an artisan Christmas market to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. Following these events, guests will be transported into a Christmas light maze featuring millions of twinkling lights.

Price: $20-35 for adults and $25 for children
