As Nov. 22 approaches, the world remembers President John F. Kennedy, and the city of Dallas reflects on its history. Nov. 22 marks the 60th anniversary of the infamous assassination of the 35th president in downtown Dallas during a motorcade through Dealey Plaza.
What used to be the Texas School Bank Depository, where the fatal shot by Lee Harvey Oswald was fired, is now home to the Sixth Floor Museum, which holds historical artifacts and tells the story of the assassination and legacy of JFK.
On Sept. 28th, Jason Walthers, facilities maintenance service technician at Dallas College Brookhaven Campus, showcased his personal memorabilia and told visitors about his family’s accounts of the JFK events at the Texas Theatre – the very same Texas Theatre where Oswald was arrested.
