A bright cool day marked the Brookhaven Bear’s third conference game and third against Eastfield Campus’ Harvester Bees on March 2. A hard loss was taken with a 16-12 score due to the Harvester Bees’ consistent push against the Bears.

The Bears started by scoring seven points in the first inning, hoping to turn this set of matches around after two losses. After that, the Harvester Bees managed to score an average of 1.75 every inning, with the Bears trailing behind.

Some key players were second baseman Isaiah Nava and shortstop Brooks Farrell – both had five counts at-bat and scored two runs each.

Designated hitter Ray Jaramillo led with three hits out of five at the bat. Not much luck was found against the games with Richland Campus either, procuring one win from the three games played. A rocky start to the first conference games leads to uncertainty for the Bears’ future this year.
