Dallas College’s access control has moved from the Police Department to Facilities Services, effective Nov. 6 for all campuses. In a campus wide email, Mark Lopez, deputy chief of police, said campus police no longer have access to the system. This means that access concerns, including access cards and keys, will be dealt with by Facilities Services. This includes any requests to open doors outside business hours. Any request to open doors will need a work request prior to the date the extra access is needed.
For access cards and keys, staff and faculty should allow up to 10 business days for requests to be processed. Forms are available on Facilities Management SharePoint site. Completed and signed forms will be submitted to the SharePoint site.
Any issues regarding access control, access cards and keys can be addressed to 972-860-5445, which is monitored 24 hours a day or [email protected].
