Crime Alert (April 30, 2012)

A campus notice was published in the April 16 issue of The Brookhaven Courier about a suspect following two female students home. An updated notice with changes has been issued by the Brookhaven College Police Department.

As of press time, the Addison Police Department’s latest report is that the suspect did not follow the two female students.

The first student interrupted a burglary off campus, which is when the suspect grabbed her and pushed her into the bathroom and threatened to kill her if she left.

The second student reported an incident in which a man was trying to get into her apartment through the sliding door.

Addison police said the suspect targeted the Wyndward Addison apartments and both women are Brookhaven students, but detectives have not found any evidence that the students were followed home.

The description of the suspect remains the same. According to the Addison Police report, the suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing blue hoodie and dark jeans. He has a necklace tattoo on the front of his neck, according to the report.
