The Founders’ Foyer art exhibition honors the legacy of one of the founders of Dallas College, Margaret McDermott, by promoting artistic excellence across the Dallas College district.
This year, students from every campus entered the jurored show in hopes they would be selected to have their piece exhibited in the Administrative Office until May of next year.
Two Brookhaven students were selected to feature their art: Victor Vera with his oil painting “Autumn Season,” and Courier illustrator Patch Darnell with his still-life creatively titled “Still-Life.”
The selected artists also received a monetary award and certificates. Additionally, artworks exhibited can be purchased at any time with all of the proceeds going to the artists.
